The First 2007 Romanow Reunion Meeting

The first Romanow Reunion meeting was held at Ed & Darlene Romanow's on Sunday Jan 14 @ 1pm. The following people were present; Ed & Darlene Romanow, Andrea Romanow, Pat Romanow, Joyce Legasse, Steven Romanow, Joe & Angeline Lawryk, Clayton & Natasha Romanow & family, Stacey, Morgan & Kara Romanow, Pat Mouly, Delores Klapak, Rick & Bertha Romanow. The date for the reunion will be Saturday, Aug 4 and Sunday, Aug 5. The park & gym have been booked and confirmed, the park requires a $150 deposit for the tent.
Pat Romanow drew up an agenda for the meeting and opened the meeting with a prayer for a successful reunion. Bertha gave a report on the minutes of the last meeting for 2002. Ed gave his financial report, $160.64 in the bank. Pat Mouly also gave her report on the bar, plans are in place to have the beer gardens open Saturday afternoon.
Pat Romanow will keep his CEO position, but Ed & Bertha gave up their positions. Joyce Legasse volunteered to take over Bertha's position as secretary, and will take over at the next meeting. Stacey Romanow volunteered to take over Ed's position as Treasurer. Good Luck to you both! Everyone agreed on the volunteered positions.
An informative meeting followed: Joyce will look after the greeters. Invitations will be done by Stacey, similar to our last reunion with replies inserted separately.
A discussion was held and it was decided to raise the price as follows; Adults $30/ea. Students $20/ea., Kids 7-10 remain at $5/ea., preschoolers free.
Pat Mouly will look after the Bar Service. $2.50 a drink was suggested. Joe Lawryk will contact a liquor rep. Darlene has the dispensers. It was decided, we will purchase the liquor from John Sydorko and the beer from the hotel.
Clayton, Andy Romanow, Jennifer Mouly & Brenda Klein will do the entertainment for the weekend. It was suggested to have a ball & bean bag tournament, also a "chicken shit" Bingo!
Ed & Darlene will look after the Food Service.
Calvin, Clayton, Pat Romanow & Joe Lawryk will look into a band for our cabaret. Joyce will check out the UK dancers from Regina as part of our Sat. night program.
Family Reunion pictures were discussed and Pat Romanow will check with Calvin Fehr.
Stacey Romanow will check into a Web-site for our reunion. (and here we are)
Tom Romanow will look after the park maintenance. Ricky will bring a tank of drinking water to the park for the weekend.
Name tags were discussed, and each family will have their colors as per invitation. Family posters were also suggested.
Loree Romanow will be approached to do the pinata for the kids.
Todd & Terry Romanow were suggested for M.C.'s for the weekend.
It was also suggested to have a program drawn up at the registration.
Pat Romanow suggested we get coffee pots from the UK hall and serve coffee on Sunday morning. Pat will also check with Fr. Len Romanow in regards to mass Sunday morning.
"We are looking for suggestions & VOLUNTEERS, to make this reunion a success!" The next meeting will be at Bertha Romanow's on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 1pm.
