2nd Romanow Family Reunion Meeting

The 2nd Romanow reunion meeting was held at Bertha Romanow's on Sunday, February 4th @ 1:00 pm. The following people were present: Ed & Darlene Romanow, Dolores Klapak, Bertha & Rick Romanow, Stacey, Kelly, Morgan & Kara Romanow, Tom Romanow, Steven Romanow, Joe & Angeline Lawryk, Pat Romanow and Joyce Legasse.

The meeting opened with a prayer lead by Pat Romanow. Joyce Legasse read the minutes from the last meeting.

Pat talked to Fr. Len and he will not be attending the reunion or saying the mass for that Sunday. Pat also inquired about whether we can get Ukrainian Dancers for Saturday. He found out a lot of these groups take the Summer off. Joyce also inquired about dancers, and they also take the summer off.

Darlene Romanow will try to find out more information on some Ukrainian Dancers from Wishart.

Pat will contact Calvin Fehr about taking pictures.

Pat thanked Ed & Bertha Romanow for all that they have done over the past years for the reunion.

Stacey read the financial report; there is $160.64 in the bank.

The entertainment committee will get together & bring their suggestions at the next meeting for Saturday/Sunday afternoon & evening activities. Pat, Natasha & Clayton Romanow are checking outsome bands for Saturday night. Joe Lawryk will also check with Roger Langelier about his band. A motion was made by Stacey Romanow to spend around $1800.00 for a band for the reunion, it was carried.

A discussion was held about the bar prices. It was the consensus that between $2.50 & $3.00 will be charged for drinks. Joe Lawryk will check with a beer rep. Bertha will contact Pat Mouly and get her to inquire about kegs of beer for the reunion from the Montmartre bar.

Darlene stated this is what will be served on Saturday & Sunday for meals:

Saturday: coffee will be served in the morning.

• Lunch: perogies, sausage, salad & desert.
• Supper: 5:30 pm, roast beef, cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes, gravy, 2 salads, buns, pickles and desert.

Sunday: coffee will be served in the morning.

• 10:00 am Mass @ The Holy Ghost
• Picnic @ the Cairn sight (food supplied), family pictures & program
• Sunday afternoon bar & tent will be open for socializing.

Stacey will finish the registration form. It was decided June 1/07 will be the reply date on the form.

Bertha will sew the Ukrainian flag for the Cairn sight.

Pat closed the meeting with a prayer.

The next meeting will be at Ed & Darlene Romanow's on Sunday, March 18th @ 1:00pm.

Bertha served refreshments & a delicious lunch!! (Fresh home-made bread!!)
